Jaidip
retired from International Tennis in 1972 having played his
last doubles match against Australia with his partner Premjit
Lall. After retirement Jaidip has continued serving and
promoting Tennis as an administrator and coach.
Jaidip is the Vice President of the All India Tennis
Association and the founder member of the Hero Sports
Foundation.
Jaidip's finest hour as coach came when he lead the Indian
Olympic Team to Atlanta Olympics where Leander Paes won the
bronze medal for India.
He was the non playing captain of the Indian Davis team from
the period 1994-1999. During his tenure India notched up
victories against Holland featuring Richard Kraichek at Rios.
His last match as non playing captain was against South
Korea.
Jaidip has helped the Davis Cup team with their preparation,
and has also been a coach for the Malaysian Davis Cup Team.
He has conducted an ITF tennis clinic in Maldives. He has
also co-conducted a tennis camp in New Delhi with Tony Roche,
one of the greatest coaches in the world, and at that time
the coach of Ivan Lendl.
Jaidip's perseverance and hard work was recognized by the
international tennis fraternity and he became the first
Indian to be awarded the International Tennis Federation,
lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.
Jaidip is now busy with the managing of the Jaidip Mukerjee
Tennis Academy at Kolkata and the setting up of the Himalayan
Tennis Academy at Siliguri, amongst other commitments.

game, possesses excellent administrative skills and a great
positive attitude. |

National Geographic, Star Plus, BBC and DD1 Channels. Her
famous works includes the series 'Indians' where she directed
episodes on Ladakh, Bombay, Kerala, Benaras, Truck Drivers,
Media Moghuls etc. She also has directed 'The Earth' for
Discovery and National Geography. |

Sharmin
is the Chairperson of JMTA. She looks after the administration
and marketing of the tennis Academies. She co-ordinates all
activities of the events undertaken by the academy. It is her
effort which has beautified the JMTA landscape. |
